Frank Frazetta’s covers for ‘Conan’ paperbacks in the early 70s were a ‘gateway drug’ of sorts in my pubescent path toward a lifelong fascination with muscle. The long-haired barbarian figure, his engorged muscles bulging, has haunted my dreams since then. Years later, it’s still a thrill to see a really huge muscle guy, especially a handsome one like Herr Becht, top off their massive, powerful physique with long, flowing locks. This man is beauty & beast in one.
