Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear--c. 1991--when Brooklyn-born demigod Rocky Santiago still trod the boards at the legendary Gaiety Theater--just before Madonna stole him away to be a back-up dancer/boytoy in her forthcoming tour. But, as the dig-dicked blond up next proves, Denise (another impresario of genius) had no shortage of beauties to parade before us--and parade they did at the SRO weekend marathon finale, flocking in from Jersey, LA, Boston, Miami and (above all) Montreal to ravage our hearts and wallets. To our eternal regret, though, all that gaiety--and the primo talent-for-hire that created it--was swept away from Times Square nine years ago last month, a civilization, alas, gone with the wind.

6 days agoI never get tired of seeing this video. Brings so much nostalgia back: I remember when I visited before they closed and walked in at the end of one of the clothed dancers finishing his set. The music changed and after a few minutes the first time that completely naked guy with a huge erection came popping through that tinsel curtain, I was completely hooked. I came back 3 times that week when I was in NYC. Loved it.

11 years agoThanks for sharing.... If you or anyone has more video clips or photos from the Gaiety, please post them. I had been to the Gaiety many times from 1993-98 on trips to NYC and loved every minute of it.... There were often huge heavyweight bodybuilders that would grace the stage that I wish I could see again. What a huge loss to the nightlife I loved so much about Times Square.

11 years agoEVERYBODY--his colleagues, the public, Denise & staff--all loved Rocky. Madonna was a very shrewd talent-scout.
