    @ mcgeemcgee: Acosta changed his name (he rotated about 4) when complaints piled too high. Many victims were too ashamed of having been scammed to complain, anyway; and, of course, others, despite VM's rep, figured THEY'D be the johns he wouldn't scam (the 'exceptionalist delusion), so those factors--plus Frontiers' indifference to escort malfeasance--all combined to keep the s.o.b. in business.
