Back in the late 70s, Zane kept winning the Olympia, in hopes that a slimmer physique would appeal to the wider public then on a ‘fitness’ trend, despite Robby Robinson the better physique. Those of us who craved muscle had to look in the back pages of other mags like Muscle Digest, who would run pics of this humongous beast from England. I still remember my shock at seeing him for the first time, inconceivably huge, a real-life Hulk. Just look at the slabs of beef on him.
