Following up my posting of Richard Dubois's posing film, here's a photo to show just how good-looking he really was. I should have chosen more of a beefcake shot, I suppose, but I couldn't resist featuring the killer smile he flashes here. Apparently Mae West couldn't either, or the bobby-soxers who saw him (as 'Richard Sabre') in the Jane Powell/Debbie Reynolds musical, "Athena." Addressing his many other admirers--those of the male persuasion--AMG's Bob Mizer, writing in "Physique Pictorial," drolly advised them that "Richard's mother, Mrs. C. Dubois, opens all his fan-mail and acts as his secretary."
