6 months agoI usually opt for training or offseason posing over stage competition vids, as I’m not a big fan of the ultra-striated look, but this is classic era muscle, and it’s still excciting to see a physique so huge yet still proportional. ESPN and American Muscle debuted a lot of great 90s guys even before the mags noticed them, and as with Levrone, Demayo, and Newman, we got to watch Phil progress and grow on TV. I used to tape everything I could to enjoy repeatedly, and big Phil remains a fave.
