As a young, white, suburban teen in the 70s with a thirst for muscle, NO contemporary physique of the era thrilled me more than that of Robby Robinson, the immortal ‘Black Prince’. After seeing a rare televised competition when I was in middle school (the 75 AAU America, where he was robbed BTW, being relegated to 5th place), I began perusing the muscle mags at the shop where I’d been buying comics and finally worked up the courage to buy a couple. One of them happened to feature some amazing pics of Robby, who’d switched to the IFBB by then and won the Mr. World title. His arms were literally breathtaking, and they still retain that effect to this day.

Though I often spent ‘quality time’ poring over the clutch of mags I had acquired, I waited a few years, until I was midway through high school, before buying more and diving whole-heartedly into studying muscle in earnest. By then, Robby was at the top of his career, winning multiple pro contests and being a recurring runner-up at the Olympia. As impressive as Zane was, I still think that Robby deserved AT LEAST one Sandow. Who knows though? Without video to assess, was his contest prep lacking, or was it the typical Weider machinations (due to racism, or just marketing)?

In any case, savoring Robby’s physique in the mags provided considerable pleasure. He was such a dominant figure in the late 70s, I’m surprised that he’s not accorded more praise online, and that this awesome site lacks any significant coverage of his astonishing development. In his heyday, is body was the muscular ideal, symmetrical and balanced, yet displaying shocking size. Though he didn’t have any weak spots, he was justly famed for his amazing arms, both huge and beautifully shaped. Even now, contemplating his exquisite guns puts me on a fast-track to orgasm.

I managed to finally find some quality posing of this demigod, and though the resolution is a bit blurry (the first scene recalls the famous ‘sasquatch’ film), I believe that his magnificence comes through clearly, and the footage explores his physique in generous head-to-toe detail. The second scene, in better clarity, provides similar coverage but then zooms in for delightful closeups of a pair of the greatest muscular arms EVER. Prepare for ecstasy as he pumps those huge guns relentlessly, swelling them to cum-inducing perfection. I recommend relishing this mouth-watering sequence in slo-mo for maximum enjoyment.

As a preface/warm-up, I have appended here what I hold to be one of the most stunning muscle mag covers in history – from the ‘Muscle Builder’ issue dated April 1979, Robby’s massive flexed biceps showcased in all its stunning size and shape. Just imagine being a horny teen crazed for muscle, then seeing THAT arm, big as fuck, close to life-size on the cover, jumping out at you on the shelf. I don’t how I managed to drive home with it, as my cock throbbed against my leg. Consider it an appetizer to the flexing feast that follows.
